Man who absconded from open prison is recaptured by police

A prisoner who absconded from an open prison near Boston has been recaptured after three weeks.

Levi Mitchell went missing from HMP North Sea Camp near Boston on 24 October.

Lincolnshire Police launched an appeal for the prisoner, who was serving a sentence for conspiracy to burgle.

The force issued a statement today saying officers had now located Mitchell.

"Thank you to all who supported our appeal to find him," a force spokesperson said.
