More information released after suspected arson attack on Wainfleet pub

More information has been released by police as they continue their investigation into a suspected arson attack at a Wainfleet pub.

Just before 9.50pm on Saturday, police were called to the Barkham Arms pub following a report of a door at the premises being set alight.

Investigating officers are working with the Fire Service as part of the enquiry, which is being treated as an arson with intent to endanger life. Nobody was seriously injured in the incident.

Police are particularly interested in locating and speaking with the drivers of two cars that turned left onto Wainfleet Bank from Culvert Road at 9.26pm and 9.31pm respectively.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured dashcam footage from any of these areas between these times.

A person was also seen on a bicycle at the pub at the time of the incident (9.50pm). I
