On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday there were reports of houses being pelted with eggs and cars being damaged in both villages in the early hours of the morning.

There were at least two reports on Caythorpe High Street of two cars having their tyres damaged and eggs thrown at windows and on Lime Tree Close, Fulbeck.

Residents have been asked to check their CCTV if they have it. One resident’s Facebook post said on Monday: “Some morons were around at 4am this morning throwing eggs. They didn’t target me, but threw them at my neighbours bedroom window. They set off my security light, and ran off.

“I think they must have run out of eggs, because the egg tray is on the verge outside. They woke me up and I tried to see if I could spot them, but as I am on my own I was reluctant to go outside.”

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 134 of January 12.
