Officers report that ‘play furniture’ at the Prospect Street and Coronation Park play parks has been damaged.

In addition, graffiti has been written on signs at the Prospect Street site.

The play parks are owned and maintained by Horncastle Town Council.

Police say some of the damage will require specialist parts to be purchased.

Police add that if anyone knows anything and/or who may be responsible for this mindless damage, they should call 101 quoting incident 204 of January 20 or email [email protected]

PCSO Mohamed added: “The town council work very hard to make Horncastle a vibrant, safe and cracking place to live in.

“When events like this happen, it’s your pocket, through taxes that is being wasted to rectify and repair vandalism so let’s identify the culprit(s).”
