Police appeal to find gift card fraudster
Police officers in Louth are appealing to track down a gift card fraudster with swift slight of hand who targeted the Louth Co-op food store.
They are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man in a CCTV image following a report of fraud at the Co-op store in Northgate, Louth.
A man is reported to have entered the store at around 4.40pm on Saturday (December 13).
A force spokesperson explained: “The man had allegedly collected four gift cards and handed two over at the till, which was activated. After handing over the wrong amount of money, the man reportedly swapped the gift cards with another two from his pocket.
“The man then took his money and stated he will return after withdrawing cash from the ATM and left the scene.”
