A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named, has already appeared in court charged with the murder and was remanded to a secure unit yesterday (Monday).

The body of Haven High School pupil Roberts was found in a common area at the rear of Alcorn Green on Saturday morning.

Police launched a murder investigation, and the 14-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested on Sunday.

Police announced last night (Monday) that a 13-year-old had now been arrested on suspicion of murder.

They also revealed that the man had been released with no further action.

The 14-year-old was remanded to a secure unit at Sleaford after appearing before Judge John Pini QC at Lincoln Crown Court.

The judge adjourned the case for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 11 January and a provisional trial date of 21 June was set.

Roberts lived with his dad Edgars less than a mile from where he was found.

He would have been celebrating his 13th birthday yesterday (Monday).
