Police arrest man after assault near Metheringham Co-op
Police have arrested a man having been called to a violent incident where a man was assaulted in Metheringham near the village’s Co-op store.
The incident happened at around 7.25pm on Saturday evening where a 21 year old man is said to have been assaulted in a property but then fled to the nearby Co-op food store on the High Street for safety.
He is believed to have suffered a cut to a foot and a possible bite to his chest and received treatment from medics at the scene.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “He was taken to hospital for treatment. A 38 year old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.”
