The robber struck at the Baltic Shop on Carleton Road at around 11.21pm.

The robber went into the shop and made threats to the shopkeeper, forcing her to open the till.

Video footage recorded shows him manhandling the assistant, pushing her towards the till and then grabbing cash as it opens.

He made off from the store with an amount of cash, possibly on a push bike.

The man is described as white and was wearing a black puffa style jacket and distinctive black tracksuit bottoms which had white flashing on the inside bottom half of the leg.

He had his face and head covered.

Police say they are appealing for any information that will help with their investigation and ask that anyone who was in the area at the time and anyone who has CCTV footage of that area, or drivers who may have dash cam footage of the offender before or after the robbery to contact them.
