Police investigate ‘deliberate’ house fire in Louth

Police are investigating a fire at a residential property in Badminton Way, Louth, which they suspect may have been started deliberately.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “The fire was reported to us at around 3.15am on November 27.

“We suspect that the fire may have been started deliberately.

“Our investigating officer would like to hear from any witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage between 2am and 3am on November 27 in the following areas: Badminton Way, Arundel Drive, Longleat Drive, Grimsby Road, and North Holme Road.

“If you can assist with our investigation, please contact us.”

Police later confirmed that ‘extensive damage’ was caused to the property, but thankfully there were no injuries.
