Police warning about Coningsby lottery scam
The Coningsby Neighbourhood Policing Team are warning residents not to fall for a scam concerning a local lottery winner.
Earlier this year, a Coningsby couple won £53m in the EuroMillions lottery.
Since then, a number of people have received emails, purporting to be from someone acting on behalf of the couple, stating that the recipient is going to be given a large amount of cash.
They are then asked to make contact with bank details etc.
The emails are part of a scam and anyone receiving one is warned not to respond.
