Police warning of heating oil thefts from villages near Sleaford

Police are looking into thefts of heating oil in recent days from villages south of Sleaford.

Heating oil was reported to have been stolen from a garden tank in Folkingham Road, Billingborough.

This theft, along with one in Aveland Way, Aslackby and another in Scottlethorpe Road, Edenham is said to have occurred towards the end of March, says PCSO Sandra Brommell of Bourne and Billingborough policing team.

She said: “We have seen a rise in theft of heating oil therefore please visit www.lincs.police.uk for security advice on heating oil and diesel oil.”
