“This is the third time now I've seen them doing it.”

Darren Robinson said: "This needs to stop. A lot of motorbikes go up the dual carriageway where they've been throwing them. It would kill a biker if it hits one.”

Children were also spotted putting traffic cones in the middle of the road and throwing them at cars, kicking in fences and throwing apples at care home windows.

Lindsey Panter said: “If anyone has the names of the children throwing apples in the Uphills area can you please pass them on to me.

"They have been throwing them at care home windows.”

Richard Mason said: "They are now on Foxby Lane throwing traffic cones at cars from behind the hedge.”

Steve Haresign said: “They were on Foxby Lane putting the traffic cones and signs across the road at top of the hill.

"Same description and it was quite dangerous as cars were trying to navigate round cones and ending up head on with a car coming up the hill.”

Michele Lonsdale said: “I’ve had the same but because of the high fencing and living in a bungalow I can't see who it is throwing them, but maybe it the same ones kicking the fencing in.

"If so I believe they live in the town area and not up the hills.”

Leah Elizabeth said: “Such a shame that these kids give the other kids of this town a bad name.

"Don't know what they achieve by vandalising and putting people in danger.”
