Sleaford officers capture wanted man and seize hare courser’s car

Sleaford police reported some successes over the Christmas period on social media.

On Christmas Eve, Sleaford response officers stopped a vehicle that was carrying a wanted male on board.

The male was arrested, according to Sleaford Police and officers also dealt with the driver who was driving with no insurance and no driving licence. The driver was summonsed to court and the vehicle seized.

The previous day, officers were busy dealing with reports of hare coursing in the Sleaford area.

One suspected hare courser crew got their vehicle stuck and police seized the vehicle.

They said: “With the help of a local farmer the vehicle was brought to the roadside where recovery took place.”

This involved a forklift picking up the car by its roof, according to an image on the police Facebook page.
