Kirsty Louise Owens, 30, of Primrose Lane, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on November 17 to face the charges, which are as follows:

• Theft of household goods worth £70.15 from the Co-op supermarket in Sutton on Sea on November 16;

• Theft of meat worth £30-£40 from Co-op food supermarket in Mablethorpe on November 14;

• Theft of alcohol worth £30 from Co-op supermarket in Sutton on Sea on November 15;

• Theft of alcohol (value not stated) from the Co-op food supermarket in Mablethorpe on November 7.

For each of these offences, Owens was sentenced to a total of four weeks imprisonment, to be served concurrently.

However, several previous suspended sentence orders were activated on conviction of these recent shop thefts, meaning that the defendant’s total period of imprisonment was increased to a total of 16 weeks.

In addition to this prison sentence, Owens was ordered to pay £50 in compensation to the Co-op in Sutton on Sea, in relation to the theft of household goods.

There were no further orders for any costs or charges to be paid.
