Tetney man, 21, disqualified for drink driving offence

Keenan McQueen, 21, of Inghams Road, committed the offence in Clee Road, Cleethorpes, on September 13 last year.

He had 119 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

McQueen pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on October 16, and he was given an interim driving ban at that stage.

He appeared at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court again on January 15 for sentencing, and he was handed a 20 month driving ban. This can be reduced by a period of five months if he chooses to complete a course.

McQueen was also handed a conditional discharge with an 80 hour unpaid work requirement within the next 12 months.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs, in addition to a victim surcharge of £95.

His guilty plea was taken into account by the court when sentencing.
