Thieves break into church to steal loo rolls and biscuits

Petty thieves have climbed in through a church window stolen items including toilet rolls and biscuits.

The desperate thieves brought a plastic table to stand on and get in through an insecure rear window of Christ Church on Pinfold Lane in Pointon.

Once inside they took nothing more than a tin of biscuits, toilet rolls and a brass wall clock.

The break in is thought to have happened between 9pm on Thursday December 8 and 7.40am Friday December 9.

If you have any information that can assist police enquiries call 101 quoting incident number 375 of 11/12/16.

There was also a reported sighting of a group of people acting suspiciously hanging around outside St Gilbert of Sempringham School in Pointon on West Road at around 1am on Monday December 5.

PCSO Sandra Brommell of Bourne and Billingborough Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This was deemed as suspicious and unusual behaviour. No offences have been committed, but who is out and about in the early hours and why? Vigilance is required.”
