Lincolnshire Police took part in the national campaign Operation Drive Insured last week.

They announced: “In one week 27 drivers had their vehicle seized as they didn’t have insurance. We do this all year long too.

“Check you insurance, make sure it’s valid.”

In a further example of their continued action, Sleaford Police recently posted on social media how their neighbourhood policing team seized a vehicle for having no valid insurance on Victoria Street, Billinghay.

The vehicle also had no MOT or tax.

They stated: “The driver was also reported for not having a driving licence. Police will be continuing patrols in the area.”
