Two arrested after theft of canisters from hospital

Two men have been arrested in Lincolnshire in connection with the theft of canisters from a Durham hospital.

The men were arrested by officers at around 12.41pm in Sunday after a van they were in was stopped.

Lincolnshire Police say around 30 canisters were found inside the van.

Lincolnshire Police ARV Unit tweeted the image on Sunday and said: "Suspicious van stopped on the roads of Lincolnshire and found to contain a large number of stolen Nitrous Canisters from Hospitals north of the country overnight.

"Unbelievable in the current climate."

The men are now being dealt with by Durham Police.
