Two men arrested after police chase ends up in village near Sleaford

Two men have been arrested following a police chase across the county ended up at small village near Sleaford on Tuesday night.

According to Lincolnshire Police, Specialist Operations officers gave chase when a silver BMW failed to stop on Sleaford Road in Boston at about 8.35pm.

A spokesman said: “The officers followed the vehicle along the A1121 Boardsides and onto the A17 eastbound. The vehicle was followed onto the A52 towards Donington and then A15 towards Bourne.”

Turning off the main road the occupants abandoned the BMW at about 8.50pm when it left the road close to the small village of Sapperton, near Folkingham.

Following a search of the area, assisted by a police helicopter, two men, both aged 26, were arrested.

“They have been arrested in connection with driving and drug offences,” said the spokesman. “They remain in custody.

“We would like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle between 8.30pm and 8.55pm as it was driven along the route. Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who has captured the vehicle on dashcam.”
