Two men wanted in connection with ‘serious offence’

Officers are trying to trace Raimondas Pupsys, 26, of Rowland Road, Scunthorpe and Ernestas Rimkevicius, 28, of Fox Street, Scunthorpe are sought by officers as part of Operation Tate after an incident on July 12.

Both are said to have connections to Boston and Sleaford as well as north east Lincolnshire and Peterborough. They may also have travelled back to Lithuania.

Officers will not be drawn on the nature of the ‘serious offence’ because it relates to a live case going through the courts.

Detective Inspector Andy Stones, who is leading the investigation, said: “I really need people who know where either Raimondas Pupsys or Ernestas Rimkevicius are, to come forward and tell police. These men need to be located in order for us to progress with Operation Tate.

“Since the launch of Operation Tate we have arrested and charged two people. Both of these individuals have appeared in court and are now remanded in custody.

“It is for this reason that I am not able to go into any other detail about the nature of the offence. All I can say is that both men are wanted for very serious matters and it is vital that we find them.

“As part of our enquiries we have been engaging with the Lithuanian community, we have designed a poster which has been translated into Lithuanian.

“I am now appealing to the general public, if you know anything about the whereabouts of either Raimondas Pupsys or Ernestas Rimkevicius then please contact us.

“All information that is passed to police is done so in the strictest of confidence and you can report anything anonymously by calling Crimestoppers.

“Any information, no matter how big or small it might seem could be relevant to our investigation so please get in touch and help us to locate these two people.”
