Three people arrested in connection to alleged robberies in Louth have been released on bail today (Wednesday), while police officers carry out further enquiries.

Earlier today, it was revealed that a third person - a 37 year old woman - had been arrested in connection with the offences.

This afternoon, police issued an update stating that she had been released on bail. The 53 year old woman and 63 year old man previously arrested have also been released on bail.

A police spokesman said: "Officers investigating would like to renew their appeal urging any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dash cam footage to get in touch.

"We are also keen to hear any information in relation to a small grey/silver car that may have been involved in the offences."

Police have now revealed that a third person - a 37 year old woman - has been arrested in connection with the offences.

The woman is now being held in custody, and the 63 year old man who was previously arrested also remains in custody.

Meanwhile, the 53 year old woman who was arrested earlier this week has been released on bail pending further investigations.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage, following two reported robberies in Louth in the past two days (December 28-29).

Just before 7.30 pm yesterday (Monday December 28), in Northgate, a women who was walking from the Co-op along the path onto Northgate was assaulted and had her shopping taken, including a 'bag for life' shopping bag.

The second incident happened around 7.15 am today (Tuesday December 29), in Little Lane, when a women who was walking along the path was assaulted and had her handbag stolen.

A police spokesman said: "We are asking for anyone who was in the area at the relevant times and may have seen something suspicious or the incidents to contact us.

"Also if you were driving along either Northgate, Louth on Monday 28 December around 7.30 pm or Little Lane, Louth on Tuesday 29 December around 7.15 am and have dashcam footage recorded to get in touch."

Two people have been arrested, a woman, aged 53 and a man, aged 63. They remain in custody.

The 63 year old man has also been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a handbag from a car parked in the Aldi car park on December 20.
