UPDATE (Tuesday): Woman in her 80s dies after Tetney collision

The collision, between a blue Suzuki Alto and a white Mercedes van, was reported to the emergency services on Friday (August 7) at around 9.53am.

The woman in her 80s, who was a passenger in the Suzuki, was taken to hospital where she later died.

The male driving the Suzuki was also taken to hospital after sustaining injuries.

The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, also required hospital treatment.

East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, and the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance attended the scene along with Lincolnshire

Police.

In a statement, EMAS said: “We received a call at around 9.49am on August 7 to the A1031 near Tetney.

“The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision.

“We sent a LIVES community first responder, a paramedic in an ambulance car and two crewed ambulances. The air ambulance was also in attendance.

“One patient was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary via air ambulance and another patient was also taken to Hull Royal Infirmary via crewed ambulance.”

Road closures were in place for several hours after the collision.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on A1031 Humberston Road in Tetney.

The collision, between a blue Suzuki Alto and a white Mercedes van, was reported to the emergency services this morning at 9.53am.

A woman in her 80s, who was a passenger in the Suzuki, is thought to be seriously injured. The man driving this vehicle has also been injured, and is in hospital.

The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, has also been taken to hospital.

Road closures are in place and any witnesses should contact police through one of the following ways.
