Witness appeal after death of cyclist near Wragby

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a cyclist near Apley Manor, Apley, on Monday evening (June 15).

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to a report of an injured cyclist at around 5.45pm on Monday, June 15.

“A male driver, driving a crop sprayer vehicle, who was in the area at the time attempted first aid on the man but sadly the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The cyclist has been named as Christopher Taylor, aged 49.

“We are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the cyclist in Apley village or surrounding villages before this incident was reported to us.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the crop sprayer vehicle or any other vehicles in this area at around the time of the incident or before it was reported to us.

“If you have any dashcam footage of the area at around the time or prior to incident please contact us.”
