Lincolnshire Police.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “At around 10.25am today (Monday) officers attempted to stop a blue Volkswagen Polo on West Street after they spotted the car which they believed was being driven by a man who is currently disqualified from driving.

“The driver failed to stop and mounted the vehicle onto a pavement within the town and drove off at speed, exceeding through a red traffic light.

“The town was relatively busy, with pedestrians on the path and we think several people will have witnessed the incident.

“It is these people we want to hear from as we carry out enquiries to locate the driver and further investigate the incident.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information that can assist with our enquiries.”
