Woman suffered head injuries after she was attacked from behind in Boston street assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked and suffered a head injury in Boston on Saturday evening.

The victim was assaulted in Bank Street between 4.30pm and 5pm on Saturday (30 November).

She was attacked from behind and did not see who carried out the assault.

Two men, aged 42 and 43 and both living in Boston, were arrested and have since been released on bail.

News of the attack comes as a 32-year-old man was arrested in relation to two armed robberies with a machete and a meat cleaver on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday in the town.

Two males, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a knife by officers who attended the scene, but there was no connection with their arrest and the assault on the woman.
