Woodhall Spa man ,22, banned for drug driving in Kirkby on Bain

Kieran Daniel Richardson, 22, of Witham Road, admitted driving under the influence of drugs when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday (October 14)

Prosecuting, Dan Pietryka said Richardson was stopped in Kirkby on Bain at 4.30pm on February 3 after police saw smoke coming out of the driver’s window, and a drugs wipe gave a reading of 4.6 microgrammes of cannabis, the legal limit being 2.

Mitigating, Roger Lowther said Richardson was ‘extremely ashamed and embarrassed’ to find himself in court.

He said he had just bought a ‘very small amount’ of cannabis and was smoking it on the way home.

Richardson was banned from driving for 12 months and was fined £274 and ordered to pay £117 in court costs and charges.
