Crowle carol concert visited by Dillon the donkey

For the second successive year, Dillon the donkey stole the limelight at the annual carol service at Crowle Methodist Chapel.

Around 100 parents and youngsters turned up to see Dillon being led into church by his Haxey-based owner Susan Owen. And, once again, he was on his best behaviour for over half an hour.

Mrs Owen was presented with a bouquet of flowers by chapel steward Pat Briggs as a token of thanks on behalf of the congregation whilst Dillon was treated to a bag of juicy carrots.

A cheque for £50 from the collection is on its way to The Donkey Sanctuary charity in Devon to help less fortunate donkeys.
