The event was held at Wesley House, the home of Ian and Yvonne Fletcher, in aid of Luton and Dunstable Neonatal ICU, without which the couple’s twin grandsons, Thomas and Oliver Fletcher would not be alive today.

Hide AdYvonne explained: “Thomas and Oliver were born 16 weeks early, on August 30 2013 and the NICU helped them through their challenging first three months where they had to contend with heart surgery, brain bleeds and multiple blood transfusion.”
The garden party included a tombola, raffle, crafts, a prize board, and a penalty shoot out with a special award of the Thomas and Oliver Cup, kindly donated by Lindsey Fillingham, which was won by four-year-old Oliver Whitely.
A total of £2,106.85 was raised which will help to buy more lifesaving equipment for this unit.

Hide AdYvonne added: “We couldn’t have done it without all the help from our wonderful family and friends. Thank you all very much.
“We would like to express our sincere thanks to the many people who helped in any way on the day, local business and shops who supported us with generous donations and especially our main sponsors Atwal Wealth Management, Scunthorpe and Centrica Energy Brigg.
“We are happy to report Thomas and Oliver are fit and well, now weigh over 20lb each and have just celebrated their first birthday,” she added.
