The council has performed something of a U-turn after a late injection of extra cash from Westminster.

According to council leader Martin Hill, that means rural bus services, road repairs and children’s centres will all escape the axe.

However, Coun Hill admits ‘tough decisions’ will still have to be made at today’s meeting.

We’ll have regular updates during the day from County Hall so keeping checking on this website - and our Twitter and Facebook pages.
