Cadet trio gain bronze awards
Three young people from Skegness Army Cadets are celebrating achieving their bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) awards.
The three members – Corporals William Howard, Emily Proud and Ewan Wood – had to complete community volunteering, physical tasks, a skills section and an expedition over the course of 12 months.
All members of the Army cadets get the opportunity to enrol in the scheme and many make it all the way to the DofE gold award.
The cadets meet in the Cadet Hall, Grantham Drive, on Thursdays, from 6.30pm to 9pm.
