A Sleaford cadet has clinched a coveted place on an international exchange programme.

Cadet Warrant Officer Meredith Rutland from 2160 (Sleaford) Sqn Air Training Corps has been selected as one of two cadets from Trent Wing to take part in this year’s International Air Cadet Exchange programme.

Both she and CWO Chatterjee from 47F (Grantham) sqn underwent a rigorous selection process to qualify for this highly prestigious event.

The International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) is a global programme for air cadet organisations from different countries with the aim of promoting friendship, cultural understanding, and cooperation among young people with a shared interest in aviation.

CWO Rutland will be in the group travelling to the USA whilst her counterpart from 47F is off to Sweden.
