Derbys: Expanded free school meal scheme will bring new jobs to areas like Clowne and Whitwell


From September, every child in reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be entitled to a free lunch and the an extra 130 catering assistants will be recruited by the council to enable this to happen. as the number of free school meals serves daily across the county rises to 8,000.
The part-time jobs will range from between five and 15 hours per week during term-time with vacancies across the county.

Jobs will be advertised on the county council’s website at www.derbyshire.gov.uk from next Monday (31st March)
