Derbyshire: Police hail alcohol campaign a success
Officers and staff involved in a week-long campaign to highlight alcohol harm and the impact excessive drinking has in Derbyshire have hailed it a success.
In Focus: Alcohol Harm saw a enforcement and education activities take place including an online chat with publicans, visits to licensed premises, training for new bar staff on responsible sales and extra patrols. Licensing officers visited premises to carry out compliance checks.
Police and crime commissioner Alan Charles joined officers on a visit to a Whitwell pub to find out more about the police role in licensing.
