Derbyshire: Work to fix potholes steps up a gear
The ‘Jetpacher’ will help the county council deal with the back-log of urgent repairs caused by the winter weather.

Hide AdDerbyshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Jobs, Economy and Transport, Coun Joan Dixon said: “Hiring in the Jetpatcher machines are all part of our plan to fix as many potholes as quickly as we can.”
“The wet winter has caused damage to the county’s roads so we’ve got roadworkers working extra hours and external contractors in helping us to make sure we get our roads mended.”
The jetpatcher uses a high velocity air stream to clear existing holes of any debris and water. The council looks after around 3,500 miles of roads and pavements.
