People across South Holland and villages between the area and Boston can give their views on new sites for housing and business development.

A series of drop-in sessions will be taking place in towns and villages in South Holland and Boston between July 18 and August 18.

The sessions are part of a process to produce a new South East Lincolnshire Local Plan for housing, employment and retail development in the area over the next 20 years.

Among the places to host drop-in sessions are Donington (July 18), Kirton and Long Sutton (both July 20), Swineshead (July 22) Sutterton and Spalding (both July 26), Crowland (July 28), Wyberton (July 29) Pinchbeck (August 3) and Sutton Bridge (August 8).

Each session will be between 3.30pm and 7.30pm, except Spalding which will be held at South Holland Centre from 11am until 3pm.

Coun Peter Bedford, chairman of the South East Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee, said: ”This chance to comment on the Preferred Sites proposed in the Local Plan is perhaps the most important as it is the last opportunity before it is redrafted.

“This is in preparation for a final version to be examined by a planning inspector, so take the chance to get involved in whatever way you can by the deadline of Friday, August 12,
