A bag packing day helped to raise £633 at Christmas and the store is aiming to generate more cash to go towards a new kit, training equipment and benches.

Nadine Harris, service manager at Tesco in Dinnington, said: “The idea behind this is to highlight to the public, projects or groups needing support and how we can help them as a store and a community.”

“We as a store team feel very strongly about helping our local communities, as we cover several areas such as Dinnington, Thurcroft, North Anston, South Anston, Todwick, Kiveton Park, Wales, Laughton. We are actively seeking projects within these areas to support.”

“We will run events such as bag packing days, cake stands, raffles, tombola’s, car washes, sponsored events, bike rides, and various other fun days to support our project.”
