Dinnington: Awards joy for young dancers

The Julie Turner Stage Academy in Dinnington is celebrating after pupils with an average age of just five won the new entries category at the national AAD Awards in Blackpool.

The pupils danced to ‘When We Play In A Band’ and their victory meant a win at the first attempt in the category for teacher Jacqui Lowe, who has previously won in the junior and senior sections.

Both teachers at the school, Julie Turner and Jacqui, said they were over the moon with the results.

Other entries from the school were third (Cat in the Hat), fourth (Stupid Cupid) and fifth (Garden of Dreams).
