Dinnington: Ben Swift goes back to school to talk cycling

World champion professional cyclist Ben Swift went back to his old school to talk about healthy lifestyles.

The Olympian, who rides for Team Sky, met kids at St Joseph’s R C Primary School in Dinnington where he answered lots of questions.

He told the captive audience how he first raced a mountain bike aged three, and was nine years when he first raced on the continent.

“It was just something I enjoyed and I was good at. I liked the speed and the adrenaline,” said Ben. “There is a lot involved in riding your bike for a job, not just training. You have to recover properly, eat well and look after yourself all the time.”
