The youngsters from Dinnington (22nd Rotherham) have successfully gained their naturalist badge and are encouraging others to come along and join in the fun.

Their latest badge was completed over two sessions, run by Forestry Commission ranger Kelly Brindley, on 17th and 24th June.

Activities included bird spotting, tree and plant identification and pond dipping - where the children had to identify water bugs which they had caught.

The sessions were held at Dinnington Community Woodland.

The badge is the latest in a long line that the cubs have achieved as part of the group.

Dinnington cubs currently have spaces to accept new members.

Anyone who is aged between eight and 10-and-a-half is invited to come along and join in the fun.
