Dinnington: Outstanding results for dance academy pair

Two members of the Julie Turner Stage Academy achieved outstanding results at the Association of American Dancing Scholarship event at Buxton Opera House.

In the Debut award for musical theatre, Isabel Canning, 18, beat off competition from 50 other dancers to take overall first place.

And in the junior section, Jasmine Foster, 11, was runner-up in a section that had more than 250 dancers taking part.

In all, the Dinnington-based academy had 11 dancers at the event and Julie Turner was delighted with the results.

“I am sure every one of their parents are equally as proud of them as we at the school are,” she said.
