Dinnington: STARS@LAST returns for fundraising spectacular

Fast moving acts from talented entertainers in and around the Dinnington area will feature in the STARS@LAST Variety Show fundraiser at Rotherham Civic Theatre on Friday, November 6.

The fundraising concert for Dinnington-based Safe@Last children’s charity is now in its sixth successful year and promises to be as exciting as ever.

The lineup of professional entertainers is supported by some of the finest young performers in South Yorkshire and includes live music from Kid Band 85, a cabaret act from Alexandra Hans and glamorous 1940s trio Bombshell Bettys.

Safe@Last trustee Christine Ayres said: “The first STARS@LAST show in 2010 was a great success and the show has been a popular fundraiser ever since, thanks to the consistent support of our sponsors Rotherham Council and B&B Press.

“This year’s exciting show is probably the biggest ever with a great cast of entertainers.

“Expect gales of laughter at the comedy sketches from hilarious comedians and novelty acts. Enjoy fully costumed extracts from musicals, spectacular dance routines, drama pieces andcabaret numbers- all backed by superb musicians.

“There will also be a mystery showbiz celebrity making a guest appearance.

Safe@Last is a registered charity working with and on behalf of young people in South Yorkshire who are at risk through running away.

The charity is based at Waterside Business Park in Dinnington and was established in response to an acute need for services for the 1 in 9 children under the age of 16 in the county who are affected.
