Dinnington: Two charged over arson attack at house

Two people have been charged with arson with intent to endanger life following a house fire in Dinnington.

Liam Fretwell, 23, of North Anston and Carly Waddington, 19, of Rotherham were arrested following a fire in Manor Road on Friday morning.

The pair, who were also charged with production of cannabis, are due to appear at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).

A 35-year-old woman who was rescued from the house remains in hospital.

South Yorkshire Police said she is making a steady recovery after being treated for smoke inhalation and burns to her face.
