Dinnington: Wales High School pupils achieve best-ever GCSE English results

Wales High School pupils have achieved the school’s best ever GSCE grades for English.

The results were announced this morning and youngsters arrived early to find out their achievements.

Grades for both English and maths were also above the national average.

A spokesperson for the school said: “A substantial number of students obtained the highest of grades with many achieving A and A* grades and the school is proud that every single one of our students left with at least one GCSE grade for only the third time in the school’s history.”

Head teacher Pepe Di’Iasio said: “At all levels we are proud of the journeys our students have been on.”

“Students and staff have all worked tremendously hard and they should be congratulated on their success.”

High achievers at the school include: David Tune (8 A* & 5A) and Genevive Justice (7A* & 5A).
