Donations in Reuben's name
Reuben Kirk, of Thorpe St Peter, died in Wainfleet Care Home on January 6, aged 86, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
A subsequent collection has resulted in £675 being shared equally between Boston Salvation Army Youth Band and Parkinson’s UK Skegness Group.

Mr Kirk had been involved with the Boston Salvation Army for most of his life and was particularly keen on the music played by their brass band.
During his later years he received support from the Skegness Group of Parkinson’s UK, alongside that of Salvation Army officers.
While being a husband, father and grandfather, Mr Kirk also fostered more than 30 children.
He spent most of his working life as a lorry driver and had a keen interest in military aircraft.
His funeral was held at Boston Salvation Army, following which he was laid to rest in Friskney Cemetery.
He is survived by wife Ida.
