Dress to impress and head off to the races at Market Rasen

Market Rasen Racecourse is hosting an event this weekend, ideal for those who have never been before.

Thousands of people are set to descend into Market Rasen Racecourse this month to sample the '˜New to Racing' day.

Lincolnshire’s only racecourse is offering a warm welcome to everyone on Sunday, May 15 - especially to those people who haven’t yet had a day at the races.

There are also a few added extras to enjoy which includes going behind the scenes, find out what it’s like to be a jockey and speak to them and the horse owners.

Plus you can watch a parade of retired racehorses who now have new careers.

The racecourse opens this Sunday at 12.10pm - two hours before the first race.
