Drink driver is banned

Marie Costagliola, 29, of Kiln Way, Wellingborough, was in Worksop on 17th March visiting family.

The court heard she was spotted on CCTV with another person trying to put a picnic bench from outside a takeaway on her car roof.

Police attended at Allen Street and breathalysed her. She gave a reading of 44mcgms alcohol in 100mls of breath.

David Verity, defending, said she had agreed to drive her cousin to the shop to buy cigarettes.

It was her cousin’s idea to try and put the bench on the car so they could take it home.

She was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £110 with £45 costs.
