Drink driver blames row

A ROW led to a Barlborough man getting a driving ban.

David Bough, 39, who has worked for Morrisons for 18 years, told a court he may now have to move to Wakefield to keep his job there.

Police were called after he took the wheel of his partner’s Vauxhall Corsa after 10pm on 28th August.

Chesterfield magistrates heard officers approached him near his home in Glebe View, Barlborough, and he failed a roadside breath test.

He was arrested and went on to give a reading of 62mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath.

Bough admitted drink-driving and was fined £415, with £85 costs. He was banned from driving for 16-months.

“There was a heated argument after both of us had a drink. I drove the car a short distance to get away from the situation,” he told the court.
