Driver to appear in court after smashing into tree
A motorist has been summoned to court after crashing his car into a tree in Mansfield.
Police were called to the scene on Saturday evening at around 7.30pm when the blue Peugeot 307 collided with the tree on Berry Hill Lane, opposite the junction with Lindhurst Lane.
The driver had gone but was later traced and no-one was injured.
However, police were called again on Monday morning after it was reported that somebody had been sat in the vehicle, although the police said it was not suspicious.
