Driver banned

A LANGOLD man has been disqualified from driving after admitting being over the drink driving limit.

Neil Pendleton, 47, from Mellish Road, drunk five pints in the Corner Pocket pub on 29th January before driving one of his sons to get a Chinese take-away. Pendleton was caught out when police arrested him following his Ford Fiesta being seen driving into a parked car in a neighbouring street and failing a breathalyzer test.

Pendleton was disqualified from driving for 18 months. He was also fined £100, as well as a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 of court costs.
