Driving on the mobile

A WORKSOP driver caught using his mobile phone and without insurance has been fined £60 and had six points put on his licence.

Kevin Hughes, 60, from Byron Way, was stopped in his Range Rover by police on the morning of 26th March on Ollerton Road. He admitted to the two charges. Kate Beardsmore, prosecuting, said: “An officer spoke to the defendant about the use of his mobile phone.”

Hughes, defending himself, said: “I answered my phone only to say I was driving and my insurance was amended straight away.”
